"New Media and Digital Inclusion: Embracing the 4th Industrial Revolution"

The First Industrial Revolution used water and steam power to mechanize production. The Second used electric power to create mass production. The Third used electronics and information technology to automate production. Now a Fourth Industrial Revolution is building on the Third, and more importantly, it is characterized by a fusion of technologies that is blurring the lines between the physical, digital and biological spheres.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is evolving at an exponential rather than a linear pace, it is fundamentally changing the way we live, work and relate to one another. In order to optimize and capture the opportunities offered by new media and technologies, digital inclusion is an essential and timely topic for assessing and addressing the new revolution.

The conference theme is divided into the following sub-themes but not nessarily limited to:

• New media, digital culture & digital literacy
