The organiser of the 6th International SEARCH Conference 2019 will host a pre-conference workshop – Postgraduate Colloquium – on 26 June 2019 (Wednesday), at Taylor’s University, Lakeside Campus, Kuala Lumpur. The goal of the colloquium is to provide postgraduate students with a supportive and critical learning opportunity to discuss their work in progress and to receive feedback and guidance from senior scholars.
During the colloquium, there will be a pitching session where postgraduate students get to pitch their research findings to editors from high-impact journals, including the SEARCH Journal. It is a great opportunity for students to get feedback on what the editors wish to see in a submission. In this colloquium, no set topic and no required stage of completion is required. Students can come with some preliminary research: an outline, a first draft, a finished paper, a paper from a previous semester, or just a raw idea that they wish to present to the panel. This will contribute to their experience and journey as postgraduate students as it is a great opportunity for them to showcase their ideas and receive feedback from other fellow researchers and academics. Participants will also have opportunity to develop their professional network by interacting with peers and senior scholars.
We invite all postgraduate students to participate in the 2019 colloquium, which will be part of the SEARCH Conference 2019.
